Five years. I would’ve stayed away longer if I hadn’t received the letter. Not a day has gone by that I haven’t thought about her, haven’t missed her smile, haven’t wished that things were different.

The last time I saw my two best friends, I vowed to not stand in the way of their happiness, even if that meant I couldn’t be a part of their lives. Cameron James and her emerald-green eyes were too much of a temptation and I couldn’t stay and watch them together. Cameron deserved better than me. She deserved him.
But now that I am back, things are different. I’m not going to stand by and watch the woman I’ve always loved slip away again. I’m done living my life with regrets and I’m ready to tell her the truth. And I’ll do whatever it takes to show her that I always wished she was mine.
Wish You Were Mine is finally here! And Tara Sivec definitely didn’t disappoint.  My heart soared for Cameron, Everett and Aiden.   When you wish hard enough, hopefully your dreams do come true.
The three musketeers.  With being childhood  friends, they were always together and they were best friends. Always celebrating  birthdays in their treehouse.  They write down their birthday wish and place it in their box.  With a promise of secrecy, they don’t peak at each other’s wishes. Each consecutive year, Cameron and Everett both wish for each other.   Cameron had secretly loved Everett.  She was always afraid he didn’t feel the same way in return.  She gave hints of how she felt but Everett never got a clue.  Even when she wanted him to stay and not leave for college, she was afraid to openly say how she felt.  Everett thought he was never good enough for Cameron.  He was ashamed of how he grew up but Cameron always saw the best in him.   With his goal to become a doctor, maybe her parents expectations of him would improve.   He loves Cameron. With his going away party, he asked Cameron in-a-roundabout way if he would wait for him.  But again, the communication was off.
Everett stayed away for years.  His heart couldn’t bear being around her especially if she didn’t feel the same.   However with receiving a letter from a deceased Aiden, Everett was gutted.  With immediately coming back home, he wanted to be there for her.  He didn’t know how to handle the loss of Aiden and unrequited love.  He was lost.  He coped with alcohol.  But with the help of his brother and months of sobriety, he found the strength to confront Cameron.
With the reunion didn’t go as planned.  Cameron was shocked to see Everett standing right in front of her.  Her emotions ran wild.  But most of all, she was hurt that he wasn’t there sooner.  On the cusp of losing a major donation and the camp closing, Cameron and Everett pretend to married for an Investor to keep the camp open.   To keep the charade going, they both live together.  In time, they both realize how they feel, attraction and chemistry are insane.   With what was being fake, it now full force loving relationship.
Not everyone is happy and wants revenge. With some twists and turns, one of the two will be in front of a gun.  We will find out who and why is behind those mysterious letters.  Will love prevail?
