About Me

My name is Richelle aka Shelly. I’ve been a lifelong reader! My love for books comes from my Mom. When I was younger she would read to me every night before I went to sleep. Once I learned how to read and got my own library card I was unstoppable! Growing up I read a lot of Fear Street books by R.L. Stine. I still have the books in a special bin for my future kids. In 2012 I became heavily involved with the book world on Facebook. In 2013 I attended my first ever book signing in Boston. It was such an UNFORGETTABLE experience!! Getting to meet and interact with the authors whose words I fell in love with is one of the best feelings ever!! Not to mention I got to meet so many of my online book friends and it was just amazing! Later that year I decided to start “Shelly’s Book Corner” and I haven’t looked back since! My reading taste are always evolving and growing so I consider myself a an all around reader. I am also a HUGE diversity advocate who feels that inclusion and representation for every reader is important. We had made some progress, but there is more work to be done.
