First of all, let me say that I’m a huge fan of Katie Ashley. So when I saw this, I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. And it didn’t! I absolutely loved Addison and Barrett. Their chemistry and banter back and forth were off the charts.
Addison who works on the campaign totally believed in the president nominee and his values. She is tough as nails, has a heart of gold, and doesn’t take anything from Barrett aka Bear. Barrett, the womanizing man has met his match. As much as he dishes out, she gives it right back. At first they are oil and water. But as time goes bye and with each win, they become closer and become friends on the campaign trail. With being holed up on a rural motel with one double bed, their fate comes full force. Their feelings towards one another blossom into the real deal. And after election night, they both don’t want to go separate ways.
Will the fake engagement change into something that is real? There was so many LOL moments in Running Mate. If you haven’t read any Katie Ashley’s books, start now!
