Book Tour +Review: Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan

Blurb
He told me to ‘settle, girl.’
He asked if ‘something was wrong with me?’
He said I was an ‘easy target.’
That was within minutes when I first met Caden Banks.
I labeled him an *sshole, but he was more than that. Arrogant. Smug. Alpha.
He was also to-die-for gorgeous, and my stepbrother’s fraternity brother.
Okay, yes I was a little naive, a tad bit socially awkward, and the smallest amount of stalker-ish, but if Caden Banks thought he could tell me what to do, he had another thing coming.
I came to college with daydreams about being with my stepbrother, but what would happen if I fell for the anti-stepbrother instead?
This is a story about a girl, her stepbrother and another guy who is the stepbrother’s complete opposite.  If it sounds like a cliché, I promise you it’s not.
Summer is starting college and she’s going to the same college as Kevin, her stepbrother.  The small detail here? She’s had a crush on Kevin since HS, since before he became her stepbrother.  When disappointment is the first thing she encounters upon finding Kevin, she turns away and kind of crashes into one of his fraternity brothers.  Caden is handsome to the point of beautiful and she thinks he’s kind of an ass, but as college life starts and things change for Summer, they develop a friendship that makes her realize he’s so much more of what she first thought.
Before I move further, I’ve read my share of Tijan’s books and I’ve love them all so far, but this book is somewhat different of the ones I’ve read before and so much more.  Everything about it appealed to me: the storyline, the relationships and interactions between the characters both the main and secondary ones, the background of each character.
Summer and Caden have some serious issues to deal with and their personalities are so different, but each one lovable nonetheless.  While she is quirky, sarcastic and funny, he’s all brooding and mature and they complement each other beautifully.  I liked so much how the relationship between them builds up from scratch, how they are friends first and how they find their way into it by being there and giving space to each other as needed and growing into a couple instead of happening overnight.
This book made me laugh, want to just throw my Kindle against the wall and brought tears to my eyes.  Even after finishing it, I read the last sentence and tears come every time.  I honestly believe you won’t be disappointed by Tijan’s Anti Stepbrother.

Going in I just knew how this book was going to turn out and I was so happy to be wrong!
Summer has had a crush on her stepbrother, Kevin for two years. Summer follows Kevin to the same college in hopes that they will get together. That doesn’t quite work out in her favor which is a good thing!
“I want more than that. I want it all. You. Your laugh.” He pressed a kiss to the side of my mouth. “Your random idiocy that I find hilarious.” A kiss to the other side. “Your kindness.”
Summer and Caden, I loved these two separately and as a couple! Their friendship, their banter and them just being them gave me all the feels. Caden was closed off and broody. Summer was quirky and funny. I really liked Summer’s character and I could relate to her on a personal level.  I really loved how their relationship took time and it was a slow burn. They started out as friends and things progressed from there. When they finally do get together you feel their passion and it was just everything I love!
Summer and Caden are both dealing with family issues. Caden is the protector of his brothers and has a big burden to carry. No one should have to carry all this weight and especially alone. Summer has never processed and coped with her mothers death. Together they find a way to heal. Seeing them be there for each other was just everything. They opened up and discussed and discovered things about themselves they didn’t want to but they need to find. This is what being in a relationship is all about. Accepting your partner faults and all and still loving them. This story truly sucked me in and I loved every minute of this book. Well done Tijan!

Author Information
I didn’t begin writing until after undergraduate college. There’d been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can’t blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I’m hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.
