Love In Rewind

I’ve heard a lot of good things about these books from my close friend and my reviewer. So I took a chance and ended up really enjoying this story. Emily and Louis have been married for 10 years, have two kids, money and live the “perfect life” but all that glitters isn’t gold. They have drifted apart and Emily feels the love is gone. There is no communication and they are two people just existing. The author takes us back to how it all started which I enjoyed. Emily is 18 when she meets Louis. He is 30 and a successful real estate mogul. In typical fashion he woos her and sweeps her off her feet. I felt that Emily was too young to be in a serious relationship with Louis. Along the way she lost herself and gave up her goals to keep him happy. Louis was also very controlling and sometimes treated her like property. He would make decisions on what she should do and I didn’t like that from him at all.   A lot of their problems could have been solved if they just communicated and it took a drastic event to bring them back together. This story had everything I enjoy romance, comedy and angst. I also enjoyed the 80’s references through out the book.  The ending of the book had me going WTF and I’m so happy I have the next one and can read right away.

Lost In Rewind

I finished Lost in Rewind in one sitting.  I had loved and hated it at times.  I wanted to yell at Jeff and actually slap some sense into him and then love him.  My emotions were all over the place.  Tali has a way to suck you into the story.  By learning the reasons  why Jeff was acting the way he did, I understood him more clearly.
