PURE ABANDON is a contemporary, conflict-driven romance with an unpredictable ending.
Powerful, passionate and provocative, it taps into the subconscious and the payoff is utter and complete satisfaction.
With a strong alpha male lead and dynamic heroine, this is a romance with a twist and an ending you’ll hate to love.
Blurb:
In a battle of self-discovery, she must choose between them.
Kathryn Grayson has it all—a beautiful husband, new baby, and a life most women would dream of. But after putting her career on hold for her family, Kathryn sets out to reclaim the woman she once was.
When Kathryn meets her new boss, Alexander Asher, Manhattan playboy and heir to his family’s fortune, a misunderstanding leads to friendship, the friendship becomes fierce, and soon Kathryn begins to question Asher’s motives … and her own.

So after reading and loving Wild Abandon, I had to start this series from the beginning. We have Kat and Gabriel who are married, just had a child not too long ago. They are living the typical married life. After a rocky intro with her new boss, Alexander Asher they hit it off. Kat is torn with her feelings and dreams that she is having about Asher. Gabriel is working so many hours and she lonely and feeling neglected. Plus there’s this woman Becca that he jogs with late at night. As expected an affair happens. Kat did feel bad about cheating on Gabriel and also struggled with her feelings for both men.  With the way everything was set up, I honestly was expecting more angst. Don’t get me wrong we did have some sad moments but I was waiting for my heart to be ripped out and it didn’t happen. I would have liked for the author to go into more detail. I would have liked more information on the whole Becca situation. That fell flat for me. They had a lot of issues in their marriage and I would have like to see more of that discussed. After she makes her decision, we are fast forward to two years later. We get a glimpse of what happens but I would have liked to experience more in those two years. This was Colette’s first book and her writing and story telling has improved tremendously!! So even though this book didn’t blow me away like Wild Abandon did I will read continue with the next book.
