Review: Preppy by T.M. Frazier

Blurb:
Samuel Clearwater, A.K.A Preppy, likes bowties, pancakes, suspenders, good friends, good times, good drugs, and a good f*ck.
He’s worked his way out from beneath a hellish childhood and is living the life he’s always imagined for himself. When he meets a girl, a junkie on the verge of ending it all, he’s torn between his feelings for her and the crippling fear that she could be the one to end the life he loves.
Andrea ‘Dre’ Capulet is strung out and tired.
Tired of living for her next fix. Tired of doing things that make her stomach turn. Tired of looking in the mirror at the reflection of the person she’s become. Just when she decides to end it all, she meets a man who will change the course of both their lives forever.
And their deaths.
For most people, death is the end of their story.
For Preppy and Dre, death was only the beginning.
This is the fifth book in the King Series and it’s meant to be read after Soulless.
I’ve been dying to get my hands on Preppy when I read his infamous line…Miss me F#?!F*#k@s!!  And I can tell you that you won’t be disappointed.    I got attached to Preppy since King, loved him from the start.  Was so happy that he had his own book.

“A bullet with a side of bow tie” that’s so Preppy!!  I was pulled in by T.M. from the start.  Samuel and Dre both were in dark places. Both had demons to overcome.  Preppy rescued Dre from a rocky path and was bringing her back off the cliff.   But in essence, Dre was helping him.  He fell hard for her.  And for tough as nails, Preppy. His heart was full of Dre.
I absolutely loved loved Preppy!!! Couldn’t put it down.  I want Part 2 now and see where and if they end up.  Love you my Evil Ginger!!!

Preppy, Preppy, Preppy.Since King this character always stood out to me. I was very curious since he wore a bow tie and all. As the series progresses we see that Preppy didn’t have it easy growing up. He had a sexually and physically abusive stepfather. So I knew out of the bunch he would be the most complexed. This story didn’t disappoint at all. Dre is at the lowest point of her life and wants to end it all. When they meet they both are there to help each other without even knowing. What I loved about this story was that it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Dre was/is an addict and junkie. Preppy has several demons he’s dealing with as well. Frazier sure knows how to write about some tough things. These couples go through some real struggles. I love the realness of these characters and you can’t help but want them to get better and be happy. I love getting sucked up in this world Frazier has created!! I need the next book yesterday after that ending! Woman, how you going to leave me having like that??!!
