Where do I begin? When I saw the blurb for this book it caught my attention and made me curious. The book is about three sons Jake, Noah and Nate. They are all dealing with their own separate issues. Then we have a runaway named River. She’s in the system and leaves after suffering abuse of all kinds. When she enters the home she develops bonds and attractions with the brothers. I wasn’t sure how this would work out and felt this was going to be a big mess. Noah and Nate are twins who  are complete opposites and very competitive. They both have a thing for River. This book set the stage to be a love triangle but it didn’t feel that way to me and to be honest I was expecting a little more angst, drama and passion. The scenes with her and Noah I just didn’t feel the connection. Her and Nate just gelled and they are definitely made for each other. This book does touch on some heavy subject matter and my heart broke for River, Nate and Jake. They all needed each other so they could heal and have closure. This book had some tender moments, heart warming moments and sad moments as well. In the end this book was able to hold my attention and made me want to keep reading.
