When Dawn Breaks will have you yearning for more. Beautifully written and the characters flowed. I was captured at the beginning with Bree and Anthony.
Bree never thought a happily ever after would be for her especially how she grew up. With having a horrible mother with a revolving door of boyfriends and an abusive boyfriend, she was always waiting for the next shoe to drop. With wanting a better life for her and her unborn child, she moves cross country to her grandparents. Fast forward five years, she totally didn’t expect to see her best friend’s ex, Anthony.
With needing a change of scenery and relocating to California, to say he was shocked to see Bree again was an understatement. She was even more beautiful than the last time he saw her. No one knew the reason why he broke up with her best friend. Ant was drawn to Bree and had strong feelings for her. It wasn’t fair to his girlfriend and did what was the right thing to do.
With the friendship picking up where they left off, the two were inseparable. Ant adored Bree’s son. But his feelings for Bree were not friendly. He wanted her. Bree was wary to take the next step and not hurt her best friend. But her heart won. They were explosive and couldn’t get enough of each other. She felt whole and complete with Ant. But good things didn’t last for Bree. Could her heart take more heartbreak?
I truly loved When Dawn Breaks. Such a beautiful story that is uplifting. Melissa Toppen outdid herself.
