When Katrina Vega falls on hard times, she finds her saving grace in the form of a job at a bikers’ bar. She’s one used to struggle and will never turn down a literal godsend offer. The only inconvenience is that with the bar come the bikers, in all shape and form, and Katrina will find herself attracted by the impressive man they call Mute.
Alec aka Mute is not impressed with the new girl. She seems too nice, too sweet to be in this world and he wants her gone.
I’m not one for MC books and I’ve noticed that I’m very picky about the genre. That said, I’m ready to confess I loved this book. From the characters to the storyline, everything did it for me.
I found the writing flowing and engaging, the characters were relatable, and I was all for Kat and Mute. They both had difficult pasts and heartbreaking stories and one can’t help but root for them to find their HEA.
There were parts of the book that had me literally jumping up and down in my seat, just looking forward to the next page and parts that really touched my heart. I really liked the secondary characters especially Betsey and her pose.
I’m happy I gave this book a chance and I can’t wait for the next story in the series.

I’ve had stories in my head since I was a child. All sorts of stories of fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured my interest. I’m a voracious reader, and have spent many hours in my life devouring books, therefore it’s only fitting I should write a few myself!
I’ve spent most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn’t mean I’m pigeon-holed into one mold. I’ve been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else I feel like exploring. As one of my students said to me once, “Life’s too short to ignore the opportunities.” I have no intention of ever stopping so welcome to my story world. I hope you enjoy it!
