New Release+Review: Hard Lessons by Charlotte West

Synopsis
Down-on-her-luck teacher, Daisy Clemmens, is about to learn some hard lessons. (Not like that, you perv.)
Lesson One
No matter how broke you are, never agree to a job that includes a rabid eight-year-old, requires a tetanus shot or where your boss is a sexy (and cranky) rock ‘n’ roll god.
Lesson Two
Do not, do not start to have tender, gooey feelings for the sexy commitment-phobe rock ‘n’ roll god. You’ll only get hurt.
Lesson Three
Okay so you’ve slept with the sexy rock ‘n’ roll god. But it’s not too late. Just whatever you do, don’t fall in love. Whoops. Too late.
Lesson Four
Never love someone, even if they are a sexy rock ‘n’ roll god, more than yourself.

When your desperate for a job coming right Of of college, you pretty much do anything.   And if that means going on tour with a notorious rocker with a foul mouth and with his wild eight year old daughter, then you start to question if you were using your brain.
Let me first say, I loved Daisy. How she was nurturing to Addison and was like a mother to her.  She protected and shielded her from her father’s crazy lifestyle on the road.  But when Billy wanted something, he wasn’t afraid to make his request known.   And what ever the rocker wanted, he got.  But through the years Daisy knew how to handle him and her heart.   And when Billy wanted only Daisy, he changed his ways.  He was still over the top but he pursued Daisy to the fullest. But Daisy always shielded Billy’s daughter, Addy to seeing them together.  She wanted to make her feel safe and loved.   But when Addy left the tour for school, Daisy and Billy were on full force.
Daisy was a strong woman.  Even though everyone bends over backward, she didn’t cower to him.  I liked Hard Lesson more than Good Lies.  But I’m still not a huge fan of Billy but I did enjoy the day to day being on a rock and roll tour.

Good Lies Review:
Sex, Lies, and Rock-n-Roll.  Life on the road, revolving door of nannies, and a rocker bad boy that is forbidden.  And it doesn’t help when your father is a world famous rocker.
Addison and Warren are found in a compromising position backstage, Addy is shipped away. But nothing stops them for being together.  With months of being on a European Tour with the forbidden rocker, Warren and Addy not only are explosive but they also happen to get married.  When Addy stumbles upon a conversation, she is rocked to her core what she overhears what from War.   When she escapes back to US, Addy files for divorce but War adamantly refuses to sign.  Fast forward three years, she is brought back  But when she is forced to go back on tour with her dad and her husband, life is anything but good.
This was my first time reading Charlotte West.  And I will be honest, I was mixed on Good Lies.  It’s not your normal rock-n-roll romance story.  Don’t get me wrong, it was good but the story didn’t wow me.

About the Author

Charlotte West writes romance about strong heroines and the sexy alpha males who love them. She lives in Washington state with her husband and very large dog (think miniature pony size). She spends way too much money on books, and way too much time reading. When she’s not reading, she’s feeding her reality television addiction, eating chocolate, or traveling. She’s been known to eat her weight in Girl Scout cookies.
She has a degree in Science and a Master’s in Education, neither of which she is currently using but is still paying for. Occasionally, she moonlights as a YA author.
