Tillie and Emily are on a girls trip to unwind before the opening of their new store. Tillie is very straight laced and career driven. Emily is more free loving and carefree. The holiday starts out as planned and then Tillie gets ditched by Emily after she meets Shane. I would have been pissed if my best friend ditched me for some guy she just met, especially if this is supposed to be a “girls” trip. Tillie has no choice but to hang with Jay (Shane’s friend) and they make a summer deal. Just fun, sex and nothing else for the next 10 days. I must admit I did have a hard time with feeling the connection between the two characters. This was the first time I read anything by this author and it was an enjoyable read. The writing was good. This kind of story is good for when you need a break from your heavy reads. I’ll keep this author on my radar for when I need a pick me up.
