I’m very picky about sports romances especially ones that contain football. With this being said Lauren Blakely knocked it out of the park with this book. I know that’s a baseball reference. 😉 But anyway I really loved how she grasped the football aspect of the story. Her storytelling shows she did her research and I was left very impressed with the sports part of the book.
Now on to Cooper and Violet, I think they are my new favorite couple. They are made for each other and I loved the dynamic of this couple. Cooper was sweet, loving, caring, cocky, and I loved the heart he had. Cooper was such a sweetie but he also has a dirty side and OMG! I had to fan myself at one point. Violet was such a good match for Cooper. She was smart, funny, sassy, independent and didn’t take any of his mess. There is just something about this couple I just can’t get enough of!
I’ve read many books by Blakely and as usual I’m left with a huge smile and happy heart when I’m finished. Her writing is real and refreshing. The drama is never over the top and all matters are handled in a realistic manner. Blakely has such a way with words and I’m sad this story is over! Well done and I can’t wait for Jones and Jillian’s story.
