Tyler Jacobson has a plan for everything—except how to handle his completely annoying, utterly frustrating, and totally sexy upstairs neighbor. He couldn’t care less if Everly Ribinski thinks he’s equally irritating—until he discovers she’s the only one who can help him land a business deal that will finally make him feel like he’s more than just a guy from the wrong side of the tracks.
Color him shocked when Everly refuses to help, insisting she should have run him over in the parking garage when she had the chance. Harsh. But possibly deserved. Tyler may have spent the last few months reveling in annoying the fiery gallery owner with a dark past, but he’s got secret leverage she can’t refuse.
If only one meeting didn’t turn into a fake date that turned into more. Way more. Like naked and hot as hell more.
The last thing either of them wants is to catch feelings for someone who is so obviously not their type. Good thing that will never happen. Right?
The Schemer is a romantic comedy that will have you laughing out loud. I just loved Everly and Tyler. With the love of high heels, motorcycles, cooking fires and coin tosses, who wouldn’t love these two? They both grew up on the other side of the bridge. With her embracing her roots and him trying to forget where he came, they both had a lot to learn.

Everly had it made or so she thought. She moved into her new apartment which also housed her new Art Gallery on the main level. With moving day, she ran into a mystery man who just happened to be Tyler. And she was literally and figuratively knocked down. With being drawn to him, she fought it tooth and nail with her attraction to Tyler. And the attraction won. Their chemistry, passion and fire was all encompassing. She discovered that Tyler was not only her landlord but he was also a successful multimillionaire businessman. Everly’s goal was to become successful in the Art world. She embraced her upbringing unlike Tyler’s. She wasn’t ashamed of where she came from. Except for one thing that was holding her back. Something that her Nunni said that was engrained into her. Could she take that to heart or could Tyler change her outlook on life and life?

I just loved The Schemer. With not reading the previous books, I was afraid I couldn’t understand the characters. But Avery Flynn put my concerns to rest. I felt like I knew the characters very well. And enjoyed the path of Tyler and Everly.

Tristan Whitfield is the quiet man of his group of friends. An introvert by nature, he prefers silence and harbors a widely known secret: he’s in love with one of his friend’s younger sister, Anna. Unfortunately for him, she was already married when they met.
Anna Calder is oblivious to Tristan’s feelings and stuck in a marriage that has ran its course, but which she refuses to walk away from.
This was my first read by the author and I had mixed feelings about the story. Though it’s well written and deeply emotional, I couldn’t find a true connection to the characters and their issues and don’t think it was a book for my taste.

USA Today bestselling romance author Avery Flynn has three slightly-wild children, loves a hockey-addicted husband and is desperately hoping someone invents the coffee IV drip.
She fell in love with romance while reading Johanna Lindsey’s Mallory books. It wasn’t long before Avery had read through all the romance offerings at her local library. Needing a romance fix, she turned to Harlequin’s four books a month home delivery service to ease the withdrawal symptoms. That worked for a short time, but it wasn’t long before the local book stores’ staffs knew her by name.
Avery was a reader before she was a writer and hopes to always be both. She loves to write about smartass alpha heroes who are as good with a quip as they are with their *ahem* other God-given talents. Her heroines are feisty, fierce and fantastic. Brainy and brave, these ladies know how to stand on their own two feet and knock the bad guys off theirs.
