It was all hard work and dedication for Rachel Dawson. She was making a name for herself in her law firm. Nothing was stopping her until she met Wil Mershano. Wil was a force to be reckoned with and he doesn’t take ‘NO’ for an answer. Charmer’s Gambit is book 2 of the Mershano Empire. First time reading the series and I was able to follow along with the story and other characters.
It all started when she read over a contract for her friend. That’s when Rachel met the gorgeous Wil Mershano. She thought he was like all the rest of the men. With always asking her out, she always turned him down. But deep inside, she wanted to say yes. But being hurt in the past, she kept him at arms length. Rachel was happy for her friends to have a happy ever after but she knew that wasn’t in the cards for her.
Wil was awestruck from the beginning when he set his eyes on her. He wanted her to work for him as his lawyer at the Vineyard. But she adamantly refused. So what Wil wanted, he got. Instead, he hired her firm and ultimately her. In a rock and a hard place, Rachel was left no choice to work for him. With working side by side, this misconceived ideas she had of Wil changed. He wasn’t just a gorgeous guy that relied on his inheritance. Wil wasn’t afraid to push up his sleeves and work in the fields of the winery. And Rachel was right by his side. They both couldn’t ignore the pull that they had to one another. With a connection so strong, their love, passion and chemistry held no bounds. Nothing was going to get in his way to be with her forever. Even if Rachel’s ex threatens his company.
