Hawk's Call by Simone Carter
Tropes
Robyn felt like she’d lost her little sister Crystal when she ran off and married Guts. She was only 18 years old and she’d not heard from her in over a month.

But one night, she got a phone call from Crystal asking for help. Unfortunately the call was cut off when Guts caught her on the phone. Robyn was frantic. She was her only family and she was determined to find her.

Robyn took what little money she has and headed to Nashville. She checks into a shabby rundown motel. It’s all she can afford. She grabs a paper and looks for jobs but doesn’t see anything that suits her. The manager of the motel gives her a lead on a job at a biker bar nearby.

Hawk’s House is known for its biker customers and live music. It’s a rough and tumble kind of place but Crystal is desperate. So, she checks it out.

How bad could it be?

Series can be read in any order. HEA guaranteed, and no cliffhanger.
Audio Review:
Would you try another book from Simone Carter and/or Lissa Blackwell?
I would definitely listen to another narration by Lissa Blackwell. The story itself didn’t work for me I felt that it was rushed in certain areas and some of the scenes were dragged out. The main character in my opinion was too busy worried about Hawk and not really proactive when it came to finding her sister. I felt like the sister being kidnapped took a backseat to Hawk and Robyn forming a relationship. By the time we got moments with Crystal it felt rushed and I would have liked more development in that area.

Has Hawk’s Call turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, I will continue to read books in this genre.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Lissa Blackwell was able to capture the emotions of all the characters perfectly and I really enjoyed listening to this story because of her performance. If she wasn’t such a good narrator I probably wouldn’t have been able to finish.

Could you see Hawk’s Call being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No
