About Sweet Victory:
Sophie Caldwell might not like asking for help, but help is what she needs if she’s going to save her family business from her uncle. Her grandma left one rule for Sophie if she wants to gain sole ownership before she’s thirty—get married. Yeah, fat chance of that happening since she hasn’t had a boyfriend in years, and now she can’t get her uncle off her ass.
British-born MMA fighter Xander James has never lost a fight, and he’s not about to start now. He’s on the brink of a comeback that could make him a UFC champion, but his landlord wants to take away his last chance by shutting down his gym. Hell, no. Fortunately, his landlord’s niece has a problem of her own. Time for a proposal she can’t refuse.

Xander James is a British MMA fighter working hard on making a comeback after a career altering injury. He’s now considered too old for the sport, but he’s doing everything in his power for what might be a last chance at a UFC championship. When his landlord gives him an eviction notice he will attempt to join forces with another tenant in order to stop the inconvenience that would take his much needed focus off his training.
Sophie Caldwell is the strong, independent force of nature who owns the neighborhood bakery. She wants to do everything she can to take full ownership of the business and keep her grandmother’s legacy, but with her uncle at her heels trying to enforce the terms of the trust, she doesn’t know how she’ll be able to…until Xander offers her a rather tempting solution.
Sweet Victory is a great conclusion to the Fighting for Love series. Gina wrote a beautiful, heartfelt story full of fun and super sexy times and, as usual, she didn’t disappoint. Xanderand Sophie are both strong, take charge characters with amazing chemistry right out of the gate and with the biggest hearts one could ever find. The story flowed easily, at a great pace and I loved every minute of it as well as the secondary characters and reading about our previous characters all over again.
When I read Seducing Cinderella, I was coming back of the biggest reading hiatus I’ve ever had in my life and I wrote one of the worst reviews known to mankind for a book that has come to be one of my favorites. I can’t remember how many times I’ve read it and now, seeing how the series has come to an end, I just want to go back and read all four books back to back…which I know
will happen once I have the time. <3

Xander is working hard on his comeback in the Mixed Martial Artist scene after a career threatening injury. He has no time for women or a relationship until he is confronted with an eviction notice for his gym. To prevent himself from losing his gym he teams up with Sophie who owns a bakery across the way. The business person who wants to buy them out is none other than Sophie’s evil Uncle. Xander and Sophie decide to do a marriage of convenience so they won’t lose their businesses. At first they try to keep things strictly professional but they can’t fight the attraction they have towards each other. I loved how strong and sassy Sophie was and how she was able to hold her own when it came to Xander. Xander was a total sweetheart despite his attempts to act like he doesn’t care. He displayed some tender moments throughout the story. I did enjoy the story but it was a little predictable for me and I had a feeling where the storyline was heading before the book was over. Overall, I did enjoy the story and will definitely be checking out the other books.
