New Release+Review: The Woman In The Dark by Vanessa Savage
Review:
Sarah is married and a mother of two. One day Sarah tried to commit suicide after the death of her mother. Her husband, Patrick decides they need to move to his childhood home for a fresh start. Things get even worse for the family after the move. Break out the sage!
This book was one for the ages! I liked Sarah but at times she was so weak. Not because she tried to commit suicide it’s because she let her husband and kids run not walk all over her throughout this book. Yes, she messed up but can you blame her? She’s an only child and just lost her mother. They treated her like crap at times and were pretty much counting down the next time she would overdose again. I really wanted to reach into the book and shake her daughter for being so dreadful. Why weren’t they in family counseling?!
This was my first time reading this author and I did enjoy the story. The book started off a little slow but once the suspense started to pick up, I couldn’t stop reading the story. The ending was good and there were some twists that I didn’t see coming. I loved the way everything came together and it was nice to see Sarah display some courage and strength. Overall, I did enjoy this story and will be reading more books by this author. If you’re looking for a nice weekend thriller, look no further!
