Book Review: Layla by Colleen Hoover

My thoughts:

I’m a picky reader in general and even harsher critic when it comes to my paranormal reads. As much as I wanted to like this story, it just didn’t work for me. I saw all the “shocking twists” a mile away and called them before the book was over. I didn’t care for Leeds at all. He could have handle the whole situation better and I’m not a fan of the gaslighting in this book. Especially as someone who suffers from mental health issues. This book reminded me of Ghost Whisperer, Ghost Hunter & Final Destination 2. I do applaud Hoover for stepping into a new genre that she has never written in before which takes a lot courage and for what it’s worth it’s a quick read.
