ARC Review+ Interview: Taxed By Love by AJ Renee
Review:
Andrew and Gabrielle are very like minded when it comes to relationships and attachments. They meet one night and there’s an attraction but they have some obstacles in their way. I loved the whole forbidden love aspect of this story. The whole waiting for the shoe to drop moment. Andrew and Gabrielle have very good chemistry and I love how they didn’t do drama. The characters are refreshing and very easy to relate to as well. I must say the last few chapters had my jaw dropping. I loved the suspense angle and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next story.
What can I say?? I am such a huge fan of this series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone but I suggest starting at the beginning with “Widowers Aura” These cast of characters have become like family to me and I love reading and catching up with them. I love their connections, comrade and I LOVE the diversity as well. I’ve been a fan of A.J. Renee since her first book and each other just keeps getting better and better. Renee is an author that everyone needs to look out for!!
Interview:
AJ Renee was nice enough to do an interview for my blog. I have been a big fan of hers since her debut and it was nice to get a peak inside her brain! Hope you enjoy!
1)If you could be any of your book characters, who would you be and why?
Sofia. Her ability to see others auras is invaluable. There are so many individuals who have ill intent and it would help weed out the malicious ones.
2)Hardest book to write?
Beauty Unmasked. As a military spouse and army brat I know how real PTSD is. Digging into Viktor’s emotional state was hard. I’m sure I only scratched the surface but I wanted to work off the reminder that beauty is what is inside of us. He’s hurting so badly emotionally and mentally and that’s what makes him a beast, not his amputation.
3) Describe your writing process?
Crazy? Haha! I’m a pantser. The idea pops in my head and I write down the main points. I start writing and watch the story unfold before my eyes.
4)Which book of yours would you like to see turned into a movie?
Oh! I think Always Mine would be a great one to see on the big screen. I can hear the ominous music playing already with the stalker scenes. Not to mention I’d love to see who’d be cast as Marc.
5) Favorite Food?
Guineos en escabeche con mollejas. It’s a Puerto Rican dish made from green bananas and chicken gizzards. Yum!
6) Favorite Color?
Hot Pink!
7)Favorite Movie?
Hmm… I have two favorites. Gone with the Wind and Now and Then. Complete opposites.
Thank you for reading and reviewing! I’m soooo happy you liked it! <3
