Unforgettable: Helena's Story (Meadows Shore Book 4) by [Charles, Eva]
Gabe:
I should have stayed away from her. I knew better.
But instead, I treated every single day like it was my damn birthday,
and she was a luscious devil’s food cake slathered in creamy icing.

Helena:
I’d spent my entire life being cautious, never took any real risks.
And I did it to shield the people I loved from needless worry.
To protect them.

He didn’t want children.
She couldn’t imagine a life without them—
especially now.

There are few occasions in one’s life where the body warns of impending doom.
This was one of them.

Unforgettable is the fourth book in the Meadows Shore Series, and can be enjoyed as a standalone. Due to strong language and sexual content this book is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

***Please be advised that a child dies in this story***
This is the first book by Eva Charles that I’ve ever read and she left me gutted, wrecked and emotional. I knew this would be a tough book to read but it was such a well written, beautiful story about love, healing and forgiveness. The characters Gabe and Helena went through the unimaginable and I wasn’t sure how they would be able to overcome this obstacle. It wasn’t easy but they were able to heal in their own ways and heal together. I enjoyed watching Gabe mature and become the man I knew he could be! Helena was so selfless and at first I thought she was a pushover but she proved me wrong. She handled her situation with more grace than I ever could. I also loved how the author didn’t make this book predictable and went a different route with the characters. I loved the main characters family and how they band together during the tough times. This book is a standalone but I was intrigued by the other characters and will be checking out the other books in this series.4 1/2  Book Corner Stars
