My Review:

When I saw A.L. Jackson was coming out with a new series I HAD to read this book. Plus, it was a second chance romance story as well and anyone who knows me knows those are my favorites! The story started out strong and held my attention. It flipped back to the past and had dual points of views. Which was another plus for me! As the story got to the middle it did tend to drag at times and was slow. At times I did struggle a little with the characters connection. I knew it was there but I wasn’t feeling it 100%. The last few chapters had me glued to my iPad and a lot of truths had been uncovered. For the most part I did figure out the twist but certain things left me with my mouth hanging wide open. I’ve been a fan of Jackson for a very long time and I’m excited to continue with this series. The writing was solid, the plot held my attention (for the most part) and this book gives you a little bit of everything!
