The woman he’s never considered…

Might be the only one he’ll ever need

Jada Allen’s Christmas wishlist is simple: her gorgeous boss. A-list talent agent Max Moore counts on Jada to handle his life—and help him get through to his tween daughter. Yet workaholic Max never really notices her until a makeover reveals the vibrant woman he’s taken for granted. Will one hot night shatter their working relationship or lead to something far sweeter?

Review:

So I’ve been anxiously waiting for this book so I could get some much needed answers. As much as I wanted to love this book sadly it didn’t work out in my favor. Here are the reasons why.

I liked Jada’s character a lot in this book. She was smart, caring and had a good heart but she was such a PUSHOVER!!! The WHOLE book I was waiting for her to get a backbone and when she finally did, it was like for two seconds and she went back to her old self and forgave Max. In my opinion he didn’t do enough to earn his second or third chance. I lost count.

Max was SO arrogant in the story and I didn’t like the way he spoke to Jada and his daughter as well. He would come off rude as f*ck at times and it wasn’t cool. I know he had a lot of his plate and was stressed with his father dying but still they aren’t the problem! Then his back and forth with Jada was annoying as well. One minute he wants her, then he doesn’t but he doesn’t like seeing her with other men. Boy if you don’t get out here with that foolishness!!!! I also would have liked if we saw him work on his relationship with his daughter, Taylor. I felt like Jada spent more time with her than Max.

So we FINALLY get the big showdown with the father, Reginald and how he was setup and I was expecting this epic scene and nope. I was hoping for a more emotional confrontation after it was all said and done. This was my first time reading author and even though the book didn’t work for me, it could be your next favorite read!
