Shelly’s Review:

Man this book.

I’m a sucker for single parent stories and this one tugged at my heartstrings and had me all in my feelings. Zack was such a good father to his son, Jack. Zack was just a good person over all. Denise came in and gave them both what they needed and even what they didn’t know they needed. I loved Denise’s character as she was smart, strong and selfless.

This story had such a delicious slow burn and I loved the build up, character development and connection between Zack and Denise. You could feel their chemistry oozing off the page. Jack stoled my heart in this story and I loved how it was the perfect balance with all three characters. At times this was an emotional story to read as well. I found myself tearing up several times and I needed a minute to compose myself .

Natasha Madison has such a way with words and once again I felt like I was apart of the group. This is book number two out of four that I have read in this series and every time I read I’m sucked in right until the very end. I never feel like I’m lost and shows Madison’s strength as a writer. Madison’s writing style has only gotten better and she is quickly moving up to be one of my favorites. Even though this story was more on the emotional side we did get some comedic relief. And I must say the last sentence brought tears to my eyes. It truly did. I won’t be forgetting about this book for a very long time. Definitely a favorite read of 2018!

Heartwarming, soul crushing, amazing and it just had it all. Natasha Madison wrote an wonderful story with Something So Unscripted. This got to me hard. Cancer, kids and so much hope.

As a parent, you do anything for your child. You put them first before yourself. And that’s what Zack did for his son. Left his cheating wife, a lucrative hockey salary and moved across the county in hopes that an Oncologist would take his sons’ case. With a transfer to the NY Stingers, not only he got a new team but he inherited a new family. It’s a small world where family is concerned. The captain’s sister is actually the world renowned Oncologist. Not only is she smart but beautiful.

As an Oncologist, Denise’s heart was with her patients. Her careeer was both rewarding and loss. When she meets Zack’s son, Jack she immediately falls in love with the little boy. She sees life and a bright future. With Zack’s plea, she melts a little more.

“I want to hear that you’ll help save my son. I want to hear that I didn’t come all this way for nothing. And most of all” – tear escapes his eye – “I want to hear that I won’t have to bury my son.”

Zack, Denise and Jack have a special bond. She was a mom to him. More so than his biological mother. And then chemistry between Zack and Denise was off the charts HOT. They had true happiness and whole together. And when the ultimate test of fear, they united as a team.

I absolutely loved Something So Unscripted. A must read!!
