Letting go of his past…

…to embrace their future!

In this Hope Children’s Hospital story, pediatrician Dr. Finn Morgan keeps himself fiercely private—after losing his leg in Afghanistan, he pushed everyone away. So his unexpected attraction to colleague, physiotherapist Naomi Collins, infuriates him! Something in her stunning eyes tells him she’s a survivor too. Christmas is a time for healing, maybe they’ll both find what they’ve both been looking for—in each other’s arms…

Review:

In the spirit of Christmas it is my personal mission to read as many holiday books as I possibly can before the season is over. Which is why I requested this book off of NetGalley. Finn and Naomi work together in HOPE Children’s Hospital. Finn is rough, broody but given his history you can’t blame him at all. Finn was in the army and got hurt in action and lives a life of solitude. Naomi is battling issues of her own but chooses to be happy and to help people which is why she choose the medical field. The author did a good job with the build up between Finn and Naomi. We got to see the real them and see each other let their walls down. I liked the couple and their banter but I needed more as the story progressed. I felt towards the end of the story things were rushed. I wanted to see the couple embark on their new chapter together as a couple. They both have painful pasts and are finally letting their guards down and I wanted to be there for the good times as well. This was my first time reading this author I did like the writing and the story kept my attention. Even though this is the third book in a series, I was not confused or lost while reading. I will definitely be checking out the other books in this series as well. I haven’t really read too many medical romances even though I work in the medical field and it was a nice change of pace.
