The night I’m released from prison, she’s in my bed.
It’s been eight years since I touched a woman, and the Native American beauty is half-dressed, beaten, bruised, and devastatingly exquisite.

We’re toxic together, but we want the same things. Blood. Vengeance.
Violent relief in a warm body.

Beneath her touch, I’m alive.
Against her skin, I’m redeemed.
Buried inside her, I forget the past.
Until the past takes her from me.

Prison made me cold, but losing Raina makes me cruel. Ruthless. Unforgiving.
I killed before. For her, I’ll kill again.
I’ll end this once and for all or die in my boots.

TRAILS OF SIN series (HEAs with no cliffhangers - must be read in order):
Knotted #1 - Jake and Conor
Buckled #2 - Jarret and Maybe
Booted #3 - Lorne and Raina

My Review:

What. A. Ride.

The feels.

The angst.

I couldn’t wait to read Lorne’s story as I knew it was going to wreck me in the process. Lorne has spent the last 8 years in prison and his return to civilian life was so emotional. He wasn’t the same person when he went in and seeing him struggle to find his way was heartbreaking.

Raina was dealt a crappy hand from jump and has been through things no child should have been. Seeing Lorne and Raina come together both broken, bruises and battered was heartwarming and heartbreaking at times.

Lorne was broody and closed off and Raina was no nonsense and had a mouth on her which I loved! I’ve never really been a fan of Westerns but Pam Godwin has won me over. This series has become one of my favorites. This story was well written and sucked me in from beginning to end. I DEVOURED this book in a few hours and I’m so sorry to see it end. I highly recommend this book and whole series 100%!
