Theone woman he will never forget…

Malcolm Bevingstoke, Duke of Haven, has lived the last three years in

self-imposed solitude, paying the price for a mistake he can never reverse and

a love he lost forever. The dukedom does not wait, however, and Haven requires

an heir, which means he must find himself a wife by summer’s end. There is only

one problem—he already has one.

The one man she will never forgive…

After years in exile, Seraphina, Duchess of Haven, returns to London with a

single goal—to reclaim the life she left and find happiness, unencumbered by

the man who broke her heart. Haven offers her a deal; Sera can have her

freedom, just as soon as she finds her replacement…which requires her to spend

the summer in close quarters with the husband she does not want, but somehow

cannot resist.

A love that neither can deny…

The duke has a single summer to woo his wife and convince her that, despite their

broken past, he can give her forever, making every day…

Malcolm and Seraphina Bevingstoke, the Duke and Duchess of Haven are no ordinary couple and don’t have an ordinary marriage.  Married over 3 years, the Duke has been trying to find his missing wife for the best part of those until the day she shows up back in London requesting a divorce.
As Malcolm wants her forgiveness and a chance to start over, he’ll have to devise a plan that will give him the opportunity to woo her before Parliament is back in session to vote on their divorce.  Unfortunately for him, Sera will come to him with reinforcements and prepared to be shielded from his charms while working hard to get the freedom she feels lost.
I hadn’t read a book by Ms. MacLean in a while, but this story made me remember why I enjoyed them so much.  It’s a story full of love, guilt and regret.  The story of a couple who fell in love and made mistakes which they both allowed to become unsurmountable obstacles between them and, when brought back together, don’t know how to talk or work things out for the best.  They’re completely blinded by their passion for each other and only when things are about to end, will they understand what they really want.
I loved the characters.  Malcolm and Sera are both strong, smart and perfect for each other even when they are fighting and have a love for the ages.  Her sisters are amazing women who make some parts completely hysterical and the guests to his house party were a great addition to the mix.

I really enjoyed this story and honestly recommend to any lover of the genre.
